Davide Scotti, 42, graduated in 2001 with an honors degree in management studies from the University of Aberdeen. He then joined the oil and gas industry, working four years for Vetco Gray. In 2005, he joined Saipem in Milan, where he contributed to the development of the “Leadership in Health & Safety” program (LiHS) and managed its rollout globally. Today he is head of HSE culture, communication and training at Saipem. Since 2010, he has been general manager of the LHS Foundation, a non-profit organisation constituted by Saipem with the aim to share the “Leadership in Health & Safety” methodology within both the industry and society. He is the creator of “Italia loves sicurezza”, a movement gathering hundreds of professionals and citizens who want to impact the safety culture in Italy. He is author of “Il libro che ti salva la vita” (The Book that Saves Your Life), an Italian best seller with 6,500 copies sold. From 2015-18 he was HSE technical director of the So­ciety of Petroleum Engineers in Italy and he is currently VP of the Club Prevention of Large Organisations, created by AIAS, Italy’s biggest safety professional association. He is an international safety speaker and likes to create and share content through social media.

Wael El Kordy has spent more than 20 years in HSE management and process safety in oil and gas businesses’ chain at upstream and downstream operations as well as projects. He is currently based in Paris after joining Anotech Energy in mid- 2019 in the role of operational HSE senior consultant. Previously, Wael worked for three major oil and gas companies, namely BG Group, BP International and Saudi Aramco, moving internationally between North Africa, UK, Middle East and Europe. Wael is a chemical engineer holding BSc and MSc degrees in process safety and loss prevention (PSLP) from the University of Sheffield, UK. He also holds an executive diploma in management, specialised in contractors HSE performance management, from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), London, UK.

As a skilled and experienced consultant, manager and leader, Sebastian Bartels is Vice President of Business Development at DEKRA Insight and helps orga­nizations to achieve their business, culture and safety related goals. He works with senior executives, leadership teams and other key stakehold­ers to help them create a vision for the future state of their organization and to design necessary implementation and change actions. Sebastian Bartels has a strong technical background and over a decade of experi­ence in safety and environmental engineering, risk management and fire protection. In addition, he is experienced in hazardous substances man­agement, demographic and ergonomic advisory, EH&S management sys­tems and quality assurance, meaning that Sebastian is able to connect C-Suite level challenges with technical aspects in order to create effective strategies. Sebastian Bartels holds a University degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in Safety and Environmental Engineering, is a Certified Auditor for Quality and Environmental Management Systems, Certified Safety Engineer, Cer­tified Fire Protection Manager, Demographic Consultant and a Certified Construction Site Health and Safety Coordinator.
